SUMMARY
The Production Assistant supports the Production Coordinator by helping ensure customer apparel and merchandise move accurately and efficiently through the production workflow. This includes receiving and sorting orders, staging items for decorator handoff, and supporting shipment preparation, along with general warehouse needs. The Production Assistant works under the direction of the Production Coordinator and is responsible for executing assigned tasks accurately, consistently, and on time. This role is hands-on and detail-oriented, supporting daily production operations and team efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but are not limited to the following)
Sorting & Order Preparation Support
- Sort apparel and merchandise by customer, order, size, and style under the direction of the Production Coordinator.
- Verify sorted quantities match order details and flag any discrepancies immediately.
- Stage sorted goods for decoration, shipping, or held inventory as directed.
- Maintain a clean, organized sorting area throughout each shift.
Decorator Handoff Support
- Pack and stage outbound decorator shipments as prepared by the Production Coordinator.
- Assist with loading and unloading decorator drop-offs and pickups.
- Help verify finished decorated goods match the expected quantities and quality when they return from decorators.
Shipping & Receiving Support
- Assist in unpacking and logging incoming product shipments.
- Help prepare outbound customer shipments under the Production Coordinator's direction — packaging, labeling, and staging for carrier pickup.
- Move boxes and product within the warehouse as needed throughout the day.
General Warehouse Support
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Support hat pressing and other light production tasks when additional hands are needed.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Production Coordinator to keep work flowing.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow verbal and written direction accurately.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks.
- Basic literacy and numeracy for reading order details, counting product, and verifying quantities.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Prior warehouse, retail stockroom, or production experience preferred.
- Experience handling apparel or similar products where orientation, sizing, and style matter preferred.
- Valid driver's license preferred.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred 1 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or distribution experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING ENVIRONMENT

- Standard schedule is part-time, Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Occasional flexibility may be required during peak order periods.

- Operate basic warehouse equipment (e.g., carts, pallet jacks) in accordance with safety guidelines.
- Work is performed primarily in a warehouse/production setting, with exposure to non–climate-controlled conditions and moderate noise levels.
- Periodic local driving may be required for decorator coordination or customer deliveries.
