Position Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Merchandising Representative ("Reps") will report directly to the Mid Atlantic District Sales Manager.
- Store Visits: On the first day, Reps will receive a list of assigned accounts to visit on a daily basis. Reps are required to personally visit each assigned account at least twice per week, unless directed otherwise by their supervisor. Reps are required to arrive daily at the first stop/account no later than 7:00 AM.
- Rotation: During each visit, Reps will inspect all sets containing Company products, ensuring that expiration dates are arranged from oldest to newest. Expired products will be removed and disposed of properly. Monitor inventory levels in each store to maximize sales and minimize returns
- Merchandising: Reps are responsible for refilling Company products on sales shelves during each visit. This includes checking different backstock locations within the store and restocking items as needed. Additionally, Reps will inspect recently delivered products for any damage or short expiration dates before placing them on shelves. Reps will also ensure that products are organized and displayed according to the retail store's guidelines and standards.
- Purchasing: Following each visit, Reps will coordinate with store buyers to compile orders, taking into account current inventory levels and product turnover. These orders are required to be submitted via our ordering system before the end of each shift.
- Photos: Reps are required to provide daily both pre and post merchandising images/photos of every display containing products distributed by Rainforest. These photos are submitted via our internal communication platform – Slack
- Recaps: Supervisors may request periodic recap emails summarizing daily initiatives. Reps are expected to respond to these requests promptly.
- Mandatory Training: Reps are required to complete all training relevant to Rainforest policies and their respective positions.

- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration within and between teams.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in technology (email, Dropbox, Slack).
- Comfortable with driving for extended periods.
- Able to work in refrigerated/cold and freezing conditions.
- Ability to stand for long hours, bending, twisting, and moving, including lifting boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in purchasing and merchandising preferred.
- Familiarity with natural and organic food chains preferred.
- Clean driving record and valid driver's license required.
- Work Setting: In-person
Ability to Commute/Relocate: Reliably commute or plan to relocate. Company car and gas will be provided.
