Role Overview
We are seeking a Lead Pre-K Teacher to guide our preschool program with creativity, patience, and expertise. The ideal candidate will prepare children for kindergarten readiness while fostering curiosity, independence, and respect for diversity.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a creative curriculum tailored to preschool children’s developmental needs.
- Employ diverse teaching methods: storytelling, play-based learning, crafts, and age-appropriate media.
- Observe and support each child to build social skills and self-esteem.
- Courage peer interaction, and guide conflict resolution.
- Foster artistic and practical skills: shapes, colors, numbers, and hands-on activities.
- Manage daily routines: organize nap/snack times and ensure safety at all times.
- Track progress and provide regular reports to parents.
- Communicate with families to understand children’s backgrounds and emotional needs.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to maintain consistent, inclusive teaching strategies.
- Maintain classroom standards: clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree with at least 12 college credits in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Pre-K classroom within a licensed childcare setting.
- Knowledge of kindergarten readiness standards and child development best practices.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication and leadership skills with a commitment to equity and inclusion.
