Rainbow Restoration of the Poconos is now hiring for a Restoration Crew Chief.

SUMMARY

The Crew Chief Technician delivers water, fire and smoke damage restoration services to our residential and commercial customers. Your daily task might include taking moisture level readings, and overseeing and assisting with water extraction, equipment placement, general demolition, detailed cleaning of fire and smoke damaged structures, or packing, inventorying and cleaning of personal property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Ensures appropriate equipment and supplies that are needed for job are loaded on truck, arrives to work site.
• Drive a company vehicle to locations designated by customers. Load and unload equipment and supplies from the vehicle to the work site.
• Establish and maintain a service schedule to ensure all service is delivered to meet customer requirements.
• Comply with all verbal and written safety practices including the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment. Read and comprehend all applicable SDSs for chemicals that require special handling and use of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Define scope of the project to be completed, schedule work, ensure project safety, and maintain quality control.
• Completes sketch and scope sheet for estimate, complete drying records using mobile software.
• Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and customers in a timely and clear fashion
• Review daily requirements of the projects, document progress and notify managers of progress and challenges
• Provide appropriate field documentation, photo logs, graphs and sketches for assigned projects.
• Performs daily monitoring and required activities on all active jobs to residential and/or commercial customers
• Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, warehouse, and office areas

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Previous experience in restoration and/or construction will be given top consideration.
• Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Exceptional customer communication and service skills
• Knowledge of the property/insurance industry
• Have mid-level computer skills and be familiar with Windows operating systems and email.
• Functional understanding of PDA’s (smart phones).
• Aptitude for learning new technology and software easily.
• Proficient in the use of Xactimate would be helpful.
• Certified in Water restoration (IICRC WTR) & Applied Structural Drying (IICRC - ASD) is a plus
• Certified in Applied Microbial restoration (IICRC - AMRT) is a plus
• Ability & Desire to learn tasks quickly

Must be customer focused, professional appearance, detail oriented, goal oriented, possess a strong work ethic and have a desire to be the best. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. You must be able to pass a criminal background check, have a good driving record.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee frequently is required to stand and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and at times will be required to wear a respirator and protective clothing.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
