Reconstruction Department Manager – Insurance Restoration

Full-time | $70,000–$80,000 annual base salary
Rainbow Restoration of Salem is seeking an experienced construction or restoration professional to lead our reconstruction department.
You will manage the rebuild portion of projects following property damage, oversee an existing reconstruction project manager, and coordinate subcontractors. You will have responsibility for the department’s daily operations, customer experience, project delivery, and profitability.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who can make decisions, keep projects moving, and build a dependable team.
Responsibilities
● Own the reconstruction pipeline, from initial customer contact through project completion.
● Coordinate the transition from mitigation into repairs and follow up on reconstruction opportunities.
● Lead the reconstruction project manager, assign work, and monitor project progress.
● Build and maintain relationships with reliable subcontractors and trades.
● Oversee project scopes, budgets, schedules, materials, and change orders.
● Resolve customer concerns, subcontractor issues, and project delays.
● Monitor job costs and margins, addressing problems before they affect profitability.
● Ensure completed work meets company quality standards and applicable building requirements.
● Coordinate estimating with our existing staff and corporate review resources.
● Meet weekly with ownership to review department performance, workload, and priorities.
Qualifications
● Experience managing residential construction, remodeling, or restoration reconstruction projects.
● Ability to supervise project managers and coordinate multiple subcontractors.
● Strong understanding of construction sequencing, job costing, and project scheduling.
● Clear communication with customers, insurance adjusters, subcontractors, and coworkers.
● Ability to manage multiple active projects and follow through on commitments.
● Comfortable using project-management software and maintaining accurate documentation.
● Insurance restoration and Xactimate experience preferred.
● Valid driver’s license and ability to visit project sites throughout the Salem area.
Compensation
Annual base salary of $70,000–$80,000, depending on experience. A performance incentive structure is being developed.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
