Position Overview
Rainbow Kids PPEC is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team. Our center provides comprehensive, non-residential medical care to children with medically complex conditions. The RN will play a pivotal role in delivering skilled nursing care, coordinating with healthcare professionals, and supporting families in managing their children's health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor and document patients' health status, including vital signs and behavioral changes
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on thorough assessments
- Provide feeding assistance, including G/J tube feedings, and manage other medical equipment as needed
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and family members to ensure cohesive care delivery
- Educate families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and care techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing care provided
- Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all patients
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Current, active Florida RN license
- CPR certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
- Level 2 background screening clearance
- Minimum of 1 year pediatric nursing experience preferred; experience with medically fragile children is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
