Duties
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Assist with meal prep, including slicing, chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and food processors.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances by following strict cleaning protocols to uphold food safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Follow food handling procedures meticulously to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service environment such as a restaurant, fast food, or catering.
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production.
- Demonstrated proficiency in food preparation techniques including slicing, dicing and cooking.
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and ensure smooth workflow.
- Ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility during busy service times.
This is an established restaurant in Bedford reopening with new owners. Simple menu executed with quality ingredients. Must have some weekend availability. We are looking forward to meeting you!
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
