Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning experience for young children. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities aligned with curriculum standards
- Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
- Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
- Support behavioral management strategies to promote positive behavior among students
- Provide basic first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative learning environment
- Assist with diapering, toddler care, infant care, or other caregiving responsibilities as needed
- Support inclusive practices for children with diverse backgrounds and abilities
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as preschool, daycare, babysitting, nannying, or similar roles is preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with special education needs and working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Certifications such as First Aid or CPR are desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary
- Demonstrated ability to work well with children of various ages including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers
