Teacher Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers and enhance the learning experience for young children. This role is vital in fostering a positive, engaging, and safe environment for students across various early childhood settings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for child development, experience working with children, and a strong understanding of classroom management and behavior guidance. Prior experience in preschool, daycare, or childcare settings is highly valued. Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities aligned with curriculum standards
• Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
• Supervise children during classroom activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and engagement
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support behavioral management strategies to promote positive behavior among students
• Provide basic first aid when necessary and follow health and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative learning environment
• Assist with diapering, toddler care, infant care, or other caregiving responsibilities as needed
• Support inclusive practices for children with diverse backgrounds and abilities

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as preschool, daycare, babysitting, nannying, or similar roles is preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques
• Familiarity with special education needs and working with children with disabilities is a plus
• Certifications such as First Aid or CPR are desirable but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary
• Demonstrated ability to work well with children of various ages including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and caregivers
