Responsibilities
- Design and assemble a variety of floral arrangements, including bouquets, centerpieces, corsages, and seasonal displays that align with customer preferences and current trends
- Provide expert advice to customers on floral choices, care instructions, and complementary products to enhance their experience
- Maintain the freshness and quality of flowers by properly handling, storing, and rotating stock according to horticultural best practices
- Assist with inventory management by stocking floral supplies, processing shipments, and organizing displays for maximum visual appeal
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and order processing
- Support landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care and gardening when needed to ensure the overall aesthetic of the retail space
- Communicate effectively with team members across departments to coordinate merchandising efforts and ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in floral design or related horticultural fields; knowledge of floral design principles is essential
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Basic retail skills including cashiering, retail math, stocking, and merchandising to support store operations
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure accurate transactions
- Knowledge of gardening, landscape maintenance, lawn care, and horticulture practices is preferred but not required
