Job Description

In this role, you will oversee workforce planning, equipment utilization, and project execution while coordinating with internal stakeholders across safety, project management, and operations. You will play a key role in driving operational performance, cost control, and a strong safety culture.

Schedule:
Full-time; schedule varies based on operational needs, projects, and travel requirements

Compensation:
Starting salary: $65,000 per year (based on experience)

Duties

• Allocate crews, equipment, and materials across projects and job sites
• Schedule and oversee work to meet maintenance, emergency, and capital project commitments
• Coordinate with internal teams including Safety, Project Management, HR, and Finance
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with FRA rules and company procedures
• Conduct inspections of crews, vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Lead safety initiatives and maintain a strong safety-first culture
• Monitor operational costs, resource utilization, and project performance
• Support pricing, margin management, and cost control initiatives
• Coordinate equipment maintenance, transportation, and inventory management
• Oversee project execution to ensure quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 5–7 years of experience in railroad track construction
• 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of track construction, maintenance, and defect identification
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders
• Strong understanding of cost management and resource allocation
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and reports
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to travel as required
• Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
• FRA certification required when applicable
• Spanish language skills are a plus
