Job Description
In this role, you will oversee workforce planning, equipment utilization, and project execution while coordinating with internal stakeholders across safety, project management, and operations. You will play a key role in driving operational performance, cost control, and a strong safety culture.

Schedule:
Full-time; schedule varies based on operational needs, projects, and travel requirements
Compensation:
Starting salary: $65,000 per year (based on experience)
Duties
- Allocate crews, equipment, and materials across projects and job sites
- Schedule and oversee work to meet maintenance, emergency, and capital project commitments
- Coordinate with internal teams including Safety, Project Management, HR, and Finance
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with FRA rules and company procedures
- Conduct inspections of crews, vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Lead safety initiatives and maintain a strong safety-first culture
- Monitor operational costs, resource utilization, and project performance
- Support pricing, margin management, and cost control initiatives
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, transportation, and inventory management
- Oversee project execution to ensure quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5–7 years of experience in railroad track construction
- 5 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of track construction, maintenance, and defect identification
- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build relationships across internal teams and external stakeholders
- Strong understanding of cost management and resource allocation
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and reports
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to travel as required
- Ability to lift and move equipment as needed
- FRA certification required when applicable
- Spanish language skills are a plus
