Railserve is hiring dependable, safety-focused Crew Leaders in Kansas (Remote) to support track construction and rail operations projects at customer sites. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing crews and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to customer expectations.

Job Description
In this role, you will lead field crews, coordinate project execution, and ensure compliance with company procedures and FRA regulations.
You will play a key role in training employees, managing resources, and maintaining high safety and performance standards.

Full-time; schedule varies based on project and site needs
Compensation:
Starting at $25.00 per hour (based on experience)
Duties
- Lead and direct crews performing track construction and rail yard work
- Plan and coordinate materials, equipment, and staffing for projects
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with FRA rules and company procedures
- Oversee daily crew activities to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety
- Train and onboard new employees
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed to meet timelines
- Support cost control and efficient use of resources
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5–7 years of experience in railroad track construction
- 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of track construction, maintenance, and defect identification
- Ability to operate and train others on heavy equipment (backhoe, front-end loader)
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, and safety standards
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift and move equipment (up to ~75 lbs)
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- Certification required when working on FRA-regulated track (as applicable)
