What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Editor position at Rails?

Summary:
Rails is looking for a highly creative Video Editor to join our in-house creative team. This role will be responsible for editing campaign, social, and brand content across a variety of platforms while helping shape the visual language of the brand.
The Video Editor will work closely with the VP of Brand Creative and Associate Art Director.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong understanding of color correction and color grading.
- Elevated creative sensibility with a strong eye for fashion, pacing, and storytelling.
- Experience with keyframing, resizing, and formatting content across platforms.
- Knowledge of export settings, codecs, dimensions, and file delivery best practices.
- Strong taste level in music, internet culture, and contemporary visual content.
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality and polish.
- Motion graphics experience (After Effects).
- Understanding of social-first editing and paid media performance.
- Familiarity with luxury/fashion references and current creative trends.
- Ability to organize and manage large media libraries/workflows.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills within a fast-paced creative team.
- Experience editing both short-form and long-form video content.
- Basic sound design and audio mixing skills.
- Must be able to maintain an onsite presence at our Los Angeles office 4 days out of the week.
Bonus /or Additional Skills:
- Experience with camera systems and/or capturing content.
