Role Overview: The Quality Assurance Intern will support the Quality Team by participating in inspections, data analysis, documentation control, and process improvement initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment, helping to uphold product standards and enhance operational efficiency. The intern will also gain exposure to auditing processes, corrective action tracking, and quality-related training.

• Training & Development: Participate in training sessions in brazing and wiring to understand quality standards and processes.
• Assist in Quality Inspections: Support the Quality Team in inspecting materials, in-process products, and final outputs to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
• Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and analyze data on quality metrics, including defect rates and inspection results, to help identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Document Control: Assist in organizing and maintaining quality documentation, ensuring all records are properly filed and accessible.
• Support Audits: Help prepare materials for internal and external audits, organize audit schedules, and document findings.
• Process Improvement Projects: Collaborate with the Quality Team to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and quality.
• Assist with Corrective Actions: Track and document corrective and preventative actions for quality issues, following up to ensure resolution and effectiveness.
• Communicate Findings: Provide insights from inspections and data analysis to support decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
• Attend Work as Outlined in the Employee Handbook: Follow attendance expectations and company policies.
• Complete Other Tasks as Assigned by Supervisor: Take on additional responsibilities as needed.
• Comply with Government Regulations, Laws, and Company Policies & Procedures.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
Skills & Experience:
• Strong attention to detail and an interest in quality control processes.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good organization and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Analytical mindset with a willingness to learn and apply problem-solving techniques.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
• Work is conducted in a combination of office and manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to production areas, including moving mechanical parts and industrial equipment.
• Requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
TOOLS & EQUIPMENT USED
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
• Measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Documentation management systems.
• PPE (safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
