🚀 Senior/Lead Front Office Java Developer – New York
Base Salary up to $225,000 Bonus Benefits
We’re partnering with a leading global financial institution to find a senior engineer who’s excited about solving complex problems in trading technology. This role sits within a high-impact engineering team that builds scalable, low-latency systems supporting global markets.
What you’ll do:
- Design and build new features in collaboration with global teams and business stakeholders
- Deliver high-quality, hands-on code across the full stack
- Contribute to architecture decisions and best practices in distributed systems
- Mentor and support junior developers while driving technical excellence
- Investigate and resolve production issues in a live trading environment
What we’re looking for:
- Strong background in Java, REST APIs, SQL, Linux, and messaging systems (JMS/MQ)
- Hands-on experience with modern SDLC tools (Git, Jenkins, Jira, Maven) and Agile practices
- Ability to design scalable solutions and work confidently across front-end and back-end when needed
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
- Bonus: cloud experience (GCP/OpenShift) and familiarity with investment banking products/workflows
