Metals Inspector I (Outside Laborer) – Summary Location: Concord, NH Pay: $21.00/hour + full benefits Benefits: Medical, Dental, 401(k), PTO, and more Work Environment: 100% outdoors, metals recycling facility Key Responsibilities Inspect incoming scrap for quality, quantity, and safety compliance Record inspection data (weight, grade, content) Report issues and suggest corrective actions Coordinate with commercial team on material quality Direct safe vehicle unloading and traffic flow Support yard operations as needed Report equipment issues to supervisor Follow internal control procedures and report violations Working Conditions Outdoors year-round in all weather Exposure to noise, fumes, dirt; PPE required Variable workload and pressure, especially during peak periods Overtime, including weekends/holidays, may be required Physical Requirements Stand/walk frequently on uneven ground Lift/carry up to 50 lbs Frequent bending, crouching, reaching, twisting Occasional pushing, pulling, climbing Constant manual handling and communication Visual and mental alertness required Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills required Expected hours: No less than 40 per week People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
