Radius Aerospace– Shelbyville is a leading manufacturer of sheet metal parts and assemblies used in the aviation industry. We utilize a wide range of metal forming techniques and special manufacturing processes, servicing the commercial, military, regional jet, helicopter, and general aviation markets.
Position Summary
Implements Human Resources policies as a generalist, partnering with business operations to ensure a complete understanding of business needs and objectives and resolves HR issues. Responsible for and/or serves as a HR liaison for most of the following areas: succession planning, talent management, labor relations, employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, EEO, and/or training and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.
- Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.
- Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, 401(k) plan, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews. Administers unemployment claims working state and local government employment agencies.
- Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and 401(k) plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, wage scales, absences, training, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Compiles reports of absences, wages, and other matters of interest to company management.
- Compiles necessary reports and files them according to government and/or internal requirements.
- Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Backup for preparing biweekly payroll process through ADP & distributes payroll checks as needed.
- Monitors HRIS system and all linkups to ensure they function properly.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality.
- Other various duties as needed or as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma
- College degree and/or certification preferred in business or HR related field.
- 7 years of professional HR experience preferred
- Basic computer proficiency and functional knowledge with applications and activities
- Strong attention to detail
- Must demonstrate effective oral communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside of the department
- ADP experience preferred
