Performs machine and hand finishing techniques to smooth and blend rough components into finished products according. Reads, interprets and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures and certify/test product.
- Follow production planner/shop router to determine proper processing sequence.
- Must maintain an accurate and prompt filing and records database.
- Maintain documentation logs and proper stamping requirements.
- Load parts/material into containers/racks in preparation for cleaning and/or heat-treating processes.
- Remove sharp and/or hot parts/material from parts washer and/or furnaces after specified times.
- Verify parts/material meet specified requirements for next operation.
- Ensure all calibrations and equipment are up to date and properly maintained,
- Know and understand company and department policies and safety procedures.
- Report to work on time, follow instructions from Department Lead and Supervisor.
- Interact well with co-workers in a team-oriented environment and understand and follow work rules and procedures.
- Must be able to adapt and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment with changing demands and scheduling requirements.
- Other necessary duties as assigned, requested or needed to meet department requirements.
- Part marking experience a Plus.
