Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system, ensuring clear communication with the kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining proper cash register procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or food service background preferred; fine dining experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems including Micros POS preferred
- Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and warmly
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Basic math skills for accurate check processing and cash handling
- Experience in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant schedule
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not mandatory; a passion for hospitality is essential
