Job Description
- The Engineering CADD Technician will assist project engineers by preparing construction drawings and plans for civil infrastructure projects including water, sewer, drainage, roadway, and site development. The role requires a strong command of AutoCAD Civil 3D, a solid understanding of engineering design principles, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet project deadlines.
- Produce construction drawings, plan sets, and technical details for civil engineering projects
- Prepare utility, grading, and drainage plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Interpret and apply engineering markups and redlines
- Assist in compiling drawing sets and supporting documentation for permitting and construction
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers to ensure drawings are consistent with project requirements
- Maintain organized digital file structures and follow company CAD standards
- Ensure accuracy and quality of work while meeting schedules and deadlines
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil engineering drafting
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D (latest version required)
- Familiarity with civil engineering infrastructure such as water, sewer, storm water, and roadway systems
- Ability to read and understand engineering plans and specifications
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
