Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, secure, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure. The role will support cloud architecture, on-premises-to-cloud migrations, infrastructure performance, automation, security, and cloud operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and modify scalable IaaS and PaaS cloud architectures.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Migrate applications, workloads, and databases from on-premises environments to the cloud.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and proactively troubleshoot issues.
- Implement cloud security, compliance, data protection, and privacy controls.
- Manage virtual machines, cloud networking, VPCs, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
- Automate cloud operations using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux environments.
- Collaborate with IT and application teams to improve performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Develop controls and processes using available cloud audit and monitoring tools.
- Stay current with cloud technologies, products, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 5–6 years of experience working with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Strong experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud networking, VPCs, firewalls, and security.
- Advanced experience with VM management.
- Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Linux administration.
- Understanding of cloud security, compliance, monitoring, and infrastructure optimization.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in government or regulated environments.
- Relevant AWS, Azure, or other cloud certifications.
- Experience with cloud migration and infrastructure modernization projects.
