A Quality Assurance Inspector I is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet established quality standards. Essential Functions
· Perform basic visual and dimensional inspections using standard tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers)
· Follow detailed inspection instructions (test procedures) and checklists to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards
· Identify and document defects, inspection results and report non-conformances
· Red tag and isolate defective products
· Work under close supervision and with production team to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
· Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during inspections and testing
· Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Hours of work are expected from 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Required Education and Experience to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in quality assurance or related field is preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Basic understanding of quality assurance principles and practices
- Familiarity with inspection tools and equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to continuous improvement and learning
