Cosmetics Batch Operator

The Cosmetics Batching Operator is an integral part of our production team and will be responsible for the overall color cosmetics batching process. This will include weighing, mixing ingredients, monitoring equipment and the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will be attentive, knowledgeable, and have a desire to work with other team members to develop the best processes and products.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience working in manufacturing.
• Self starter with the ability to multitask and work independently.

Knowledge

• Ability to demonstrate experience using Microsoft programs, maintenance management systems and email.
• Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations, including wearing protective gear when necessary.
• Ability to lift 50lbs or more.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing operations in safe and effective manner.
• Recording information, such as ingredients, weights, and temperature, and inputting into database.
• Monitor and control pressure and temperature of batching process equipment.
• Operate plant equipment as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Handle, transport and process of raw materials safely.
• Document plant processes and record batching data.
• Operation, detailed cleaning and sanitizing of batching equipment.
• Troubleshooting issues with production equipment.
• Raw Material inventory record keeping.
• Daily equipment upkeep and maintenance.

Working Environment

• Manufacturing plant producing color cosmetics
• This job requires climbing stairs and ladders and also lifting (within OSHA guidelines).

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Basic math: 1 year (Required)
• Computer operation: 1 year (Required)
