Position Description:
The Controller is responsible for leading the financial operations, accounting functions, internal controls, and financial reporting activities for a business unit of Allied Power. This role serves as a strategic financial partner to operational leadership while ensuring the integrity of financial data, compliance with company policies and accounting standards, and effective financial planning and analysis.
The Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations; monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; budgeting and forecasting; cash flow management; project accounting oversight; and financial performance reporting.
This position is based in Seabrook, NH.
Essential Functions:

- Lead and manage all accounting and finance activities for the business unit.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Maintain and enforce internal accounting controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and company standards.
- Oversee project accounting activities including revenue recognition, cost tracking, billing, and margin analysis.
- Ensure compliance with customer contract requirements, company policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Prepare and review financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and management reporting packages.
- Develop and maintain financial models, KPIs, dashboards, and reporting tools to support business performance monitoring.
- Partner with operational leadership to support financial planning, profitability analysis, and strategic decision-making.
- Manage cash flow forecasting.
- Coordinate and support external audits, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Supervise and mentor accounting and finance personnel, fostering professional development and accountability.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to financial systems, reporting accuracy, automation, and process standardization.

Physical Demands:
This is primarily a sedentary role; however, some light physical activity may be required. This position may require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary.
Required Education, Experience, Certification and Licenses:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA Certification (preferred)
- Experience as a Financial Controller, or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Microsoft Office suite proficiency

Salary : $150,000 - $175,000
