Job Title: Trade Compliance Specialist (Part-Time)
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid/Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months
Schedule: Part-Time (20 Hours/Week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Classify products using HTS/HTSUS, Schedule B, and ECCN codes for import/export compliance.
- Review product specifications, technical drawings, and documentation to ensure accurate classifications.
- Support internal teams with trade compliance guidance and resolve classification requests.
- Interpret U.S. Customs, BIS, CBP, OFAC, and EAR regulations.
- Maintain product classification databases and collaborate with ERP teams on master data updates.
- Support trade compliance processes, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of international trade compliance classification experience.
- Hands-on experience with HTS, HTSUS, Schedule B, and ECCN classifications.
- Strong knowledge of EAR, BIS, CBP, OFAC, Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and GRI rules.
- Experience with Excel/Google Sheets, Global Trade Management tools, and Power BI.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, International Trade, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Licensed Customs Broker certification is a plus.
