Seeking a Senior Oracle SQL Data Analyst with strong experience developing Oracle SQL solutions against large, normalized transactional databases. This role is heavily focused on hands-on SQL development (70 80%), including writing complex SQL and PL/SQL from scratch, analyzing business requirements, and delivering operational reporting and data analysis. This is not a Business Intelligence or Dashboard Development role.
Required Skills
- 5 years of Oracle SQL development against transactional databases
- 5 years writing complex SQL (Joins, CTEs, Subqueries, CASE statements, Aggregate & Analytic Functions)
- 5 years working with normalized relational database design and table relationships
- 3 years translating business requirements into SQL solutions
- 3 years developing automated SQL jobs and scheduled database processes
- 3 years supporting operational reporting and data analysis
Highly Desired Skills
- 3 years of Oracle PL/SQL (Procedures, Functions, Packages, Views)
- 5 years of SQL troubleshooting, query optimization, and data validation
- Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tools
- Experience working with large, high-volume transactional database environments
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programs.
- Write simple and complex SQL queries from scratch against normalized Oracle databases.
- Analyze business requirements and determine appropriate tables, relationships, joins, and business rules.
- Extract, validate, transform, and analyze operational data for reporting and research.
- Develop and maintain automated SQL processes and scheduled database jobs.
- Troubleshoot SQL scripts, automated jobs, and data quality issues.
- Create efficient, reusable, and well-documented SQL code.
- Support recurring operational reports, KPIs, and analytical requests.
- Collaborate with business users to understand reporting requirements.
- Support Tableau dashboards and other data visualization initiatives as needed.
