As a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll be the hands-on partner in delivering personalized therapy plans that help residents regain strength, improve mobility, and return to the activities they love. Your work will directly influence recovery timelines, emotional well-being, and overall quality of life for those in your care.
What You'll Do
Carry out individualized treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist, focusing on functional mobility, balance, and strength.
Provide one-on-one, concurrent and group therapy sessions that encourage engagement and progress.
Document patient progress accurately and in compliance with state and facility guidelines.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team—including nurses, occupational therapists, and speech therapists—to ensure holistic patient care.
Educate patients and families on exercises and techniques to support continued progress outside therapy sessions.
What You'll Bring
Current Florida PTA license in good standing.
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric care preferred.
Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach to care.
Ability to adapt to varying patient needs and therapy schedules.
