Job Summary:
We are seeking a UX/UI Designer with experience supporting U.S. Federal Government projects. The ideal candidate will create intuitive, accessible, and user-centered digital experiences while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver modern web and application solutions that comply with federal standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design user-centered web and mobile applications for federal government clients.
Conduct user research, usability testing, and stakeholder interviews to understand user needs.
Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, user flows, and interactive designs.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, business analysts, and stakeholders throughout the design lifecycle.
Develop responsive, accessible, and visually engaging interfaces following UX best practices.
Ensure compliance with Section 508, WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards, and the U.S. Web Design System (USWDS).
Maintain and contribute to design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries.
Support Agile/Scrum teams by translating business requirements into user-friendly design solutions.
Present design concepts and incorporate stakeholder feedback into final deliverables.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
3 years of UX/UI design experience, preferably supporting federal government projects.
Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Axure, or similar design tools.
Strong understanding of UX principles, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design.
Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
Knowledge of responsive web design and accessibility standards (Section 508 and WCAG).
Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and front-end development concepts.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
