About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Cycle Analyst to support healthcare revenue cycle operations through data analysis, reporting, system support, and performance improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Finance, IT, and Clinical Informatics teams to drive billing accuracy, reimbursement optimization, and operational efficiency.
This position plays a key role in bridging clinical documentation and financial outcomes by leveraging healthcare data, reporting tools, and revenue cycle technologies.
Responsibilities
- Analyze operational and financial data to support revenue cycle initiatives.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and performance metrics.
- Support billing, claims processing, reimbursement, and collections operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve revenue cycle performance and financial outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, IT, and Clinical Informatics.
- Support EHR implementation, optimization, and governance initiatives.
- Monitor denial trends, reimbursement methodologies, and key revenue cycle KPIs.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to business and technical stakeholders.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 3 years of experience supporting healthcare revenue cycle operations, healthcare reporting, or financial systems.
- Experience with hospital revenue cycle systems and Electronic Health Record (EHR) platforms.
- Hands-on experience developing reports using healthcare reporting tools or business intelligence platforms.
- Strong understanding of:
- Billing and claims processing
- Reimbursement methodologies
- Collections
- Denial management
- Revenue cycle performance metrics
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or similar EHR systems.
- Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Cognos, SSRS, or other BI/reporting tools.
- Revenue Integrity and Denial Management expertise.
- Experience working within hospital or healthcare provider environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills.
