Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Human-Centered Design (HCD) Researcher with 5 years of experience in UX research and Human-Centered Design methodologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding user needs through research and translating insights into better digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews and qualitative research to understand user needs.
- Create user personas and customer journey maps.
- Perform usability testing and heuristic evaluations.
- Analyze research findings and provide actionable recommendations.
- Maintain evidence-to-feature traceability by linking research insights to product requirements.
- Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, business analysts, and development teams.
- Present research findings to stakeholders and support user-centered product decisions.
- Use research tools such as TheyDo and Otter.ai.
Required Skills
- 5 years of experience in Human-Centered Design (HCD) or UX Research.
- Strong experience with:
- User Interviews
- Persona Development
- Journey Mapping
- Usability Testing
- Heuristic Evaluation
- Qualitative Research
- Experience using TheyDo, Otter.ai, or similar UX research tools.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Social Sciences, Design Research, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience working in federal, government, or other regulated industries.
