Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement behavior support plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. This role involves providing support in various settings, assisting with daily living activities (ADLs), and contributing to the overall development and well-being of clients.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior support plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
- Assist clients with daily living activities, promoting independence and skill development.
- Collect and record data on client progress, behaviors, and support as per treatment protocols.
- Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities and autism in various environments, including home, school, or community settings.
- Teach new skills using ABA techniques and strategies tailored to each client's needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families and other team members to ensure continuity of care and effective communication regarding care plans.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills in behavioral health and management.
Skills
- Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques, particularly Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of special education principles and patient care practices.
- Ability to assist clients with daily living activities (ADLs) effectively.
- Knowledge of data collection methods for tracking client progress.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and record-keeping practices.
- Skills in developing care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Understanding of behavior management strategies within the context of behavioral health.
