Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join a healthcare team in Santa Monica, CA. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and clinical staff by providing both administrative and patient care assistance in a fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures
- Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information
- Perform basic clinical procedures such as injections, EKGs, specimen collection, and phlebotomy as permitted
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
- Clean and prepare exam rooms and maintain medical equipment
- Educate patients regarding medications, treatments, and follow-up care instructions
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
- Current BLS certification required
- Previous outpatient, clinic, or physician office experience preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting
- EMR/EHR experience preferred
WEEKLY TRAVEL PAY PACKAGE (resides out of 50 miles) for (40hrs)
Gross Pay: $ 1412.00 / Week
W2 / Taxable Pay: $ 680.00 / Week
Per Diem: $ 732.00 / Week
Local Pay: $20-$25/hr
Salary : $20 - $30
