New Opening!! Racker is accepting applications for a Behavior Intervention Specialist for Supporting Success, located in Ithaca, NY. This position is eligible for a $3000 sign-on bonus!
This position meets in person with participants and their families in their homes to better understand challenging behaviors, and to teach participants skills to improve the quality of their daily lives. The person in this position needs to understand behavioral principles, assessment, individualized goals, and implementation of strategies. The focus is primarily in Tompkins County, and works with people receiving OPWDD supports and services, from children to adults.

Salary range is $50,000- $62,000 depending on experience. Position is also eligible for Public School Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program!

Responsibilities
- Collecting data, observing and interacting with participants.
- Developing individualized goals and teaching strategies.
- Addressing challenging behavior and promoting positive behavior change.
- Completing necessary case management functions in a timely manner.
- Engaging participants and their families.
- Conducting assessments
Qualifications
- Master’s degree from a program in a clinical or treatment field of social work or psychology, or a BCBA or LBA, or an NYS license in mental health counseling.
- Relevant experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Must meet approved driver requirements.
