Travel to onsite work locations is required, both within the state and occasionally out of state. Reliable transportation and flexibility with travel schedules are essential. Essential Functions
- Manage multiple retail construction projects from initiation through close-out.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.
- Oversee all phases of development including entitlement, design, permitting, bidding, contracting, construction, store turnover, and project closure.
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and developers.
- Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and forecasts.
- Review contracts, administer change orders, and ensure quality control.
- Monitor progress and report project status, risks, and resolutions.
- Utilize web-based project management tools for documentation and tracking.
- Oversee logistics and material sourcing, ensuring timely delivery to project sites.
- Resolve material sourcing issues and communicate delays or risks proactively.
- Manage inbound logistics from supplier to distribution center to store.
- Perform on-site assessments, which may require ladder climbing and rooftop access.
- Represent the company professionally and deliver exceptional client service.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience managing retail or large-format (big box) construction projects including Developer Site Work.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Skilled in web-based project management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Ability to operate tablets for live data collection in the field.
