Role Overview
An accomplished Infrastructure Architect with 15 years of experience in designing, managing, and
modernizing enterprise-scale IT infrastructure environments. Proven expertise across compute, storage,
networking, hosting services, security, and cloud platforms, with a strong ability to align infrastructure
architecture with business objectives. Adept at driving strategic initiatives, optimizing cost, improving
resilience, and ensuring high availability, security, and scalability of IT systems.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture
o Lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise IT infrastructure across
onpremises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
o Translate business requirements into robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure
architectures that support current and future growth.
o Ensure infrastructure solutions align with organizational standards, industry best practices,
and compliance requirements.
Technology Strategy & Roadmap
o Continuously evaluate industry trends and emerging technologies to keep the infrastructure
landscape modern, competitive, and future-ready.
o Define and maintain shortterm and longterm infrastructure architecture roadmaps,
ensuring alignment with business and IT strategy.
o Provide architectural direction for modernization initiatives, legacy transformation, and
digital adoption programs.
Capacity Planning & Resilience
o Perform capacity planning for compute, storage, network, and cloud resources to support
enterprise workloads efficiently.
o Architect and oversee data retention strategies, backup solutions, high availability (HA),
and disaster recovery (DR) plans, ensuring minimal downtime and business continuity.
o Regularly test and validate DR and failover strategies.
Cloud & Hybrid Infrastructure
o Design and manage cloud-based infrastructure solutions using platforms such as AWS and
Microsoft Azure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency.
o Provide expertise across IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid cloud models.
o Assess customers’ existing application and infrastructure landscapes and define end-to-end
cloud migration roadmaps, including re-hosting, re-platforming, and modernization
strategies.
o Implement automation and configuration management using tools such as Ansible, Chef, or
equivalent technologies.
Security & Compliance
o Develop, implement, and enforce IT infrastructure security policies and procedures across
environments.
o Ensure infrastructure designs meet security, compliance, and regulatory standards,
including access control, data protection, and vulnerability management.
o Collaborate closely with security teams to proactively mitigate risks and strengthen
infrastructure security posture.
Cost Optimization & Operational Excellence
o Architect costeffective infrastructure solutions that balance performance, availability, and
budget constraints.
o Drive infrastructure optimization initiatives, including rightsizing, automation, and adoption
of cloud-native capabilities.
o Support operations teams with L3 expertise, ensuring rapid resolution of complex
infrastructure issues.
Database & Data Platform Expertise
o Provide architectural guidance for Relational, NoSQL, and Big Data platforms, including:
Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL
Hadoop, Spark, and other opensource big data technologies
o Ensure data platforms are designed for scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
