We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Accounting Manager to join a well-established, privately owned manufacturing and distribution company. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys a broad range of responsibilities, working closely with management, and being part of a stable, employee-focused organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, monthly close, and financial reporting.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, providing hands-on support as needed.
- Monitor cash flow, banking activities, and working capital.
- Manage inventory accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Prepare financial analyses, including sales, margins, customer profitability, and operating costs.
- Support year-end close, audits, and improvements to accounting processes.
- Coordinate employee benefits, annual open enrollment, and 401(k) administration.
- Assist with general HR administration, employee relations, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience. Public or private accounting background.
- Strong general ledger, monthly close, financial reporting, and analytical skills.
- Experience with inventory accounting; manufacturing or distribution background preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
- Experience with employee benefits or HR administration is a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
Salary : $125,000 - $135,000
