Job Overview
Retro Insulation is seeking a skilled Operations Manager/Superintendent to supervise operations across industrial, commercial, and military projects in the Charlotte, NC area. In this pivotal role, you will oversee multiple active project sites, ensuring all work aligns with project plans, specifications, safety standards, and client expectations. Your supervision will maintain operational efficiency, quality, and compliance, while supporting the overall success of each project. Job Responsibilities:
- This position is primarily a field related role visiting job sites and meeting with customers.
- Responsible for maintaining customer relationships and project management in accordance with the Retro contract administration policy.
- Reviews contracts with RD.
- Ensures accurate scope and schedule conditions. Ensuring fair payment and retainage terms are negotiated.
- Selects and manages subcontractors. Works with the BA to ensure all required subcontractor paperwork is received.
- Oversees field operations across multiple job sites, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
- Coordinates subcontractors, staffing, and site resources to meet productivity targets and project milestones
- Ensures project scope, sequencing, and schedule conditions are clearly defined and maintained throughout execution
- Manages site logistics, permitting, inspections, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Maintains control of project financials, including labor, materials, and equipment, while supporting accurate and timely invoicing
- Drives clear communication between field teams, clients, and internal departments to ensure alignment and quality delivery
- Provides leadership and mentorship to field staff and junior PMs, promoting accountability and team development
- Collaborates with operations and estimating teams to optimize staffing, improve performance, and support regional growth initiatives
Preferred Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in a mechanical trade or industry.
- Meet Qualifications to get into our Company Auto Insurance and receive Company Truck.
- Must be able to pass background check to obtain DBIDS for military base access.
- Must have a Real ID or ability to obtain one.
- Willingness to travel to various job sites throughout Charlotte/Winston-Salem surrounding areas.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday; 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm
