What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at RA Holdings Group?
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate Heavy Equipment vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Understand DOT standards and inspect vehicles to always be up to code.
- Operate skid steers, excavators, bull dozers, dump trucks, loaders, among other heavy equipment to efficiently break down structures, clear debris, and prepare sites for development.
- Experienced with excavation, grading, loading, hauling, backfilling, and material relocation tasks.
- Work in a variety of projects ranging from commercial, industrial, government, and military projects.
- Ability to operate machinery and perform labor tasks as needed.
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily to ensure proper functioning.
- Follow safety protocols and comply with all site regulations.
- Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and other team members.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or hazards immediately.
Required Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:
- Must have a Real ID, SS, and Birth Certificate.
- Clean Background. Or Able to get on base and have active badging.
- Meet Qualifications to get into our Company Auto Insurance.
- Experience with Manual Vehicles (Stick Shift) might be helpful.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
Licenses & Certifications:
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
- CDL is preferred, but not required.
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
Location:
- Projects will be located all over the 757 cities, Military bases, and shipyards including Portsmouth, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Newport News and Hampton.
Pay:
- $25-$32hr (Depending on Experience)
