What are the responsibilities and job description for the Asbestos Abatement Laborer position at RA Holdings Group?
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform asbestos and lead abatement, including removal, containment, and proper disposal of hazardous materials on military, industrial, and commercial construction projects.
- Set up containment areas using plastic sheeting, negative air machines, and decontamination units.
- Follow all federal, state, and company safety regulations when handling hazardous materials.
- Wear and maintain proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and respirators at all times on job sites.
- Assist with demolition and removal of contaminated building materials such as insulation, flooring, and piping.
- Transport, label, and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment within containment zones and surrounding areas.
- Work closely with supervisors and team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
- Travel to various job sites across the Hampton Roads area as assigned (one project at a time)
Preferred Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass background checks for military base access.
- Must have a Real ID.
- Have a vehicle and ability to drive to project sites within Salisbury, MD and surrounding DE area as assigned.
- Strong awareness of safety procedures in construction environments
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
Licenses:
- MD Asbestos License or Certification
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday 7:00am–3:30pm
Compensation:
- $23-$27hr depending on experience plus OT at 1.5x.
- Plus, opportunity to grow up the scale on yearly review.
