Social Media Communications and Graphics Specialist
Position Overview
The Social Media Communications and Graphics Specialist supports Digital Communication and Graphic Design Services for the I Corps Public Affairs Office at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The Specialist is responsible for developing, coordinating, and supporting digital media strategy, content creation, social media management, executive communications support, multimedia products, reporting, and graphic design. This role supports Government-approved communication workflows and ensures all public-facing content is accurate, professional, mission-aligned, OPSEC-aware, and submitted for Government review and approval before publication or release.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of the Digital Communication Strategy, publishing schedule, content planning, campaign support, multimedia products, and reporting products.
- Create and coordinate social media, digital communication, graphic design, and multimedia content in support of I Corps Public Affairs requirements.
- Manage and support content across platforms such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, X, Sprinklr, LinkedIn, and emerging social media platforms.
- Coordinate with military units and staff organizations to obtain information, imagery, media, and source material needed for Public Affairs products.
- Ensure all content is prepared for Government review and approval prior to publication or release.
- Support weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting by collecting performance data, engagement metrics, trends, and content analytics.
- Assist with quality control reviews, discrepancy resolution, corrective action support, trend analysis, and customer feedback tracking.
- Ensure digital products comply with PAO doctrine, OPSEC requirements, DoD/Army public affairs guidance, security requirements, and Government approval workflows.
- Support executive communications products, campaign materials, graphics, social media posts, digital content, and related communication deliverables.
- Maintain professional coordination with the COR, Government stakeholders, and contractor management team as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience supporting social media engagement, digital content management, public affairs, marketing, communications, graphic design, or related work.
- Proven ability to support digital media engagement and content management services in private, public, and/or Government sectors.
- At least three years of experience in public relations, marketing, communications, digital media, graphic design, or related fields.
- Working knowledge and five years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite and platforms/tools such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, X, Sprinklr, LinkedIn, and/or emerging social media platforms.
- Ability to coordinate with military units and staff organizations to obtain information, imagery, and media needed for Public Affairs products.
- Experience creating or supporting communication products in a DoD, Army, public affairs, or mission-focused environment is preferred.

Certification Requirement
No specific certification, such as PMP, is required. Personnel must maintain any certifications applicable to their assigned tools, platforms, and duties. Industry-standard certifications are acceptable for relevant digital media, social media, content management, and design platforms. Required training includes Army OPSEC Training for External Official Presence operators and annual TARP training for personnel with security clearances.
Clearance / Security Requirement
Secret clearance is required for contractor personnel to access certain intranet websites. Personnel must possess and maintain a Secret security clearance, comply with OPSEC requirements, and sign NDAs for secure or proprietary Government information.
