What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Controller position at R&Y Electronics North America, INC.?
Responsibilities:
· Integrity and Loyalty to the Employer: Adhere to the ethical principles, honesty, and accountability and conduct professionally in all financial matters.
· Financial Leadership: Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, costing, Investment and taxes.
· Team Development: Lead, mentor the high-performing accounting team.
· Strategic Collaboration: Partner with executive leadership to lead/support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
· Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Prepare timely and accurate internal and external Financial Statements and reports.
· Cost Control, Analysis & Reporting: Track and analyze direct & indirect costs, Labor , overhead, scraps and yield Performance; lead/monitor the BOM update, allocate the cost into the products/WIP.
· Variance Analysis: Compile the Variance analysis and compile the report for Standard Cost, Sales, and expense levels between the actual and budget/forecast, and propose the CI improvement plans.
· Supervise and Audit Inventory: Verification of on-going inventory operations and collaboration with Materials and Shipping teams to accurately report and optimize any Cycle Count adjustments.
· Process Optimization: Design and implement streamlined accounting processes to support scalability and efficiency in the growing organization.
· New Program/Investment Plan Calculation, Evaluation and Monitor of CIP Progress: Plan, calculate, support and monitor the Programs/Capital Investment expenditures the company; align investments with company strategies. Ensure property accounting is recorded properly on the ledger by monitoring for potential idle assets, or for assets to be put into production use. Collaborate with program managers, engineers to align forecasted expectations. Lead fixed assets inventory verification events and request adjustments.
Supervision Received and Given:
· Reports to the R&Y North America General Manager.
· Supervisory duties.
· Supports other team members.
Educational Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
· CPA or CMA certification (preferred)
Qualifications/Experience:
· 2 years of progressive accounting or finance experience
