Heavy Equipment Operator/Foreman:
Overview:
Supervise and coordinate on-site construction and excavation activities, including grading, utility installation, and site preparation. Operate heavy equipment as needed while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include scheduling crews, overseeing daily operations, and maintaining job site safety. Competitive wages/salary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, and backhoes for excavation and grading work.
- Supervise excavation projects, including trenching, utility installation, and site grading activities.
- Coordinate and oversee crews to ensure work is completed efficiently and according to project timelines.
- Safely operate machinery to excavate trenches, move materials, and perform grading and earthwork tasks.
- Install utility systems by excavating trenches with proper slopes and using trench boxes or shoring when required.
- Load and transport earth materials using various types of heavy equipment.
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company standards on the job site.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of equipment operation, troubleshooting, mechanical functions, and safe navigation of machinery.
Skills:
- Experience operating excavation and heavy construction equipment.
- Knowledge of excavation methods, drainage systems, and utility work.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Strong leadership abilities and understanding of job site safety practices.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
