Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Licensed Psychiatric Technicians (LPTs) to join our team in various Correctional facilities across California. Responsibilities
As a Temporary/Relief Psychiatric Technician, you will:
- Provide behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to mentally or developmentally disabled patient/youth.
- Conduct daily clinical rounds and monitor mental health symptoms.
- Administer medications, treatments, and injections under RN/MD supervision.
- Record vital signs and perform general nursing procedures within LPT scope.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary Treatment Teams to support treatment plans.
- Assist with group and individual therapy activities.
- Coordinate and prepare patients/youth for clinical appointments.
- Respond to emergencies and provide CPR/first aid as needed.
- Document all care accurately in accordance with facility guidelines.
- Help maintain a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
- 12 months of continuous psychiatric or developmental disability care experience within the last 3 years
(Internships do not count)
- Active California Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license
- Strong English communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to work collaboratively within a correctional healthcare environment
