Position Summary
Join a growing, high-performance insurance agency where you’ll take ownership of an established book of high-value commercial clients and play a direct role in driving retention, client success, and organic growth.
We are seeking a highly motivated Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of high-value clients. This role will act as a trusted advisor to business clients, guiding coverage strategy, strengthening relationships, and growing accounts over time.
The Account Manager will be supported by a collaborative team of Producers, CSRs, and carrier partners, allowing you to focus on your client relationships and strategic account management.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-value clients
- Build and strengthen strong relationships with key decision-makers
- Conduct proactive client reviews to assess coverage, risk, and evolving business and insurance needs
- Deliver proactive communication and consultative strategic service
Renewal & Retention Strategy
- Lead and manage the renewal process for your assigned book of accounts
- Evaluate coverage, pricing, and carrier markets for best service and value to the client.
- Develop and execute renewal strategies in coordination with producers and carriers
- Consistently achieve 95% retention rate
- Resolve complex client issues quickly and professionally
Account Growth & Development
- Expand existing client relationships through additional product and service offerings across multiple lines of business
- Identify opportunities to broaden services and coverage within the existing client portfolio
· Contribute to organic growth initiatives through strategic management of current client relationships to achieve growth targets of 105%
Technical Expertise & Advisory
- Maintain strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
- Analyze policies and recommend appropriate risk management solutions
- Stay informed on market and industry trends, carrier appetite, and coverage innovations
· Provide consultative support to help clients evaluate risks and make informed decisions for their business goals and risk management needs.
Operational Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate documentation in agency management systems
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory requirements, and carrier guidelines
- Monitor and track performance metrics and service standards
Book of Business Profile
- Portfolio includes a mix of VIP and high-value commercial clients
- Portfolio Size: ~150 VIP and ~300 high-value relationships
