Wholesale Food Delivery Driver - Brick Oven Bakery, Bangor
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Wholesale Food Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering food products to customers throughout Aroostook, Penobscot, and Hancock counties. This position plays an important role in ensuring our customers receive quality products on time and with excellent service.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver food products to retail stores, restaurants, and other establishments.
- Load and unload food products onto delivery vehicles, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and proper handling.
- Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely deliveries.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns professionally.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including delivery manifests, invoices, and customer signatures.
- Follow all safety regulations, traffic laws, food handling procedures, and company policies.
- Communicate any delivery issues, delays, or customer concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Assist with food preparation duties in the Freshies Commissary under the supervision of the Commissary Logistics Manager when not performing delivery duties.
- Work closely with team members to support daily production and delivery needs.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous delivery driver experience preferred, preferably in food distribution or a related field.
- Knowledge of local roads, routes, and traffic patterns helpful.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
