What You’ll Do
As a Deli Shift Leader, you’ll help oversee daily deli operations while ensuring food quality, safety, and an outstanding customer experience:
- Provide friendly, fast, and attentive customer service
- Prepare food according to Freshies® recipes and standards
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and ServSafe guidelines
- Receive deliveries and verify product quality and freshness
- Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and temperature logs
- Track spoilage, waste, and daily production
- Keep the deli clean, organized, and visually appealing
- Support and guide team members during shifts
- Assist with scheduling priorities and shift execution
- Monitor inventory and help order food and supplies
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and health regulations
- Maintain a safe and positive work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in food service, deli, or customer service preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math and computer skills
- Reliable attendance and flexible availability (evenings, weekends, holidays)
Training & Certifications
- ServSafe Food Handler or Food Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- On-the-job training provided
