R.H. Batterman and Co., Inc. (Batterman) is adding to our Land Surveying Team due to company growth and the implementation of our company strategic plan. We are an established multi-discipline firm with a successful and long history as a leader in the Civil Engineering and Survey Profession. Over the past 106 years, our firm of 42 employees has not encountered many turnovers, other than through planned retirements. Due to increasing project workloads, and planned Company growth, Batterman has an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. Position Description – Land Surveyor / Project Surveyor

As part of our Surveying Team, you will provide a wide variety of field data collection and staking activities, prepare survey drawings, and work directly with Staff and Clients. This position offers tremendous growth opportunity and as a Project Surveyor you will require knowledge or desire in the following areas:

• Transportation, preparation of right of way plats and Transportation Project Plats

• Municipal Infrastructure

• Private Development

• Familiarity with supervision or performing data collection, processing data in Civil 3D for Boundary Surveys, Topographic Surveys, ALTA/ASCM, Subdivision Plats, Certified Survey Maps and Design Survey information

• Construction Staking

• Boundary Surveys

• Land Records Research

• Familiarity with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Facility Development Manual

This position will also support our design staff and will require collaboration to maintain project timelines, budgets, and Client expectations. We are looking for someone who enjoys the Client side of land surveying and who has experience or an interest in preparing proposals and project budgets. Candidate will be proficient in operating Trimble Total Stations, Trimble GPS Receivers and Trimble Robotics. AutoCAD proficiency is a must and knowledge of Civil 3D would be a plus.

• Valid driving license and driving record acceptable to our Company insurance provider

• Initiative, self-motivation and a desire to be challenged

• Independent worker and ability to work within a diversified project team of professionals

• Ability to communicate both with a project leader and with the Client as the Project Leader

• Accountability

• Ability to keep clear and concise project records and files

• Registered Land Surveyor in the State of Wisconsin or ability to become registered within 3 to 6 months of employment will be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
