SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting the Controller with all aspects of the accounting function. This role requires a hands-on individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can assist with a variety of accounting tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries
- assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Prepare and file sales tax returns in multiple jurisdictions
- Support the renewal of business and contractor licenses
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure financial records comply with GAAP
- Support internal and external audits
- Help implement and improve accounting processes and controls
- Back-up Payroll Specialist
- Special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration / Accounting / Finance
- Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle fast paced, time-sensitive and confidential tasks while maintaining professionalism
- Ability to pass work history verification
- Ability to pass and maintain pre- employment and random drug screenings
- Schedule – Full-Time (in-office)
