About the Role:
Our client is hiring a Senior Accountant to support a newly acquired business unit that will support financial operations. This role is essential in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP standards, and strategic support for leadership decision-making. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting expertise, particularly in nonprofit fund accounting, with a passion for process improvement and analysis.
Summary:
- Provide financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic insights for senior leadership.
- Oversee complex accounting for revenue streams
- Support global teams with reporting on international sales, donor-funded initiatives, and restricted funds.
- Ensure transparent, accurate accounting that reflects donor intent.
- Help build efficient processes and financial models that equip our leadership to make data-driven, mission-centered decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead accounting operations sales and operations
- Manage reconciliations, intercompany consolidations, and currency adjustments
- Oversee donor fund accounting and related financial reporting
- Deliver timely financial statements, dashboards, forecasts, and budgeting insights
- Collaborate cross-functionally and with external auditors for transparency and compliance
- Recommend and implement process enhancements and financial modeling improvements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
- 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strongly preferred: Experience in nonprofit fund accounting
- Background in public accounting audit is a plus
- Expertise in Excel and ERP systems
- Solid understanding of GAAP and reconciliation practices
- High attention to detail, strong judgment, and collaborative mindset
