Senior Construction Project Manager

SENIOR CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER

R.D. Brown Contractors, Inc. is a construction management and general contracting firm based out of North Augusta, South Carolina and is actively seeking an energetic, entrepreneurial individual for the position of Senior Construction Project Manager. Since 1972, we have served the Augusta area's leading businesses and are looking for the next generation of an executive-level, values-driven person to grow with our company and clients. This position will be on the forefront of delivering construction projects on schedule, within budget and with unparalleled quality and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source projects through local Augusta community networking and project databases
• Perform pre-construction planning, scheduling, estimating and quality control
• Establish and maintain harmonious working relationships and environment for the entire project team
• Communicate with entire project team regarding schedule, cost, safety, quality, changes and risks
• Properly manage multiple projects through established project controls and procedures
• Management of all project contract documentation, including permitting and licensing
• Coordination with Project Superintendent(s) regarding schedule, procurement, quality, equipment, manpower and logistics
• Lead project meetings during pre-construction and construction phases
• Manage project closeout, ensuring client satisfaction

EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION BS or MS degree in Construction Management or Engineering

• 7 - 10 years of Augusta, Georgia area experience
• 7 - 10 years of Project Management experience on projects valued up to $20 million
• Equivalent combination of education or experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to source, estimate, schedule, manage and complete building projects up to $20 million

• Keen understanding of local Augusta market business environment
• Knowledge of Estimating, Scheduling and Project Management software (Sage, Microsoft, etc.)
• Thorough understanding of entire construction process from initial client contact through closeout
• Skilled knowledge of sequencing and workflow of construction activities for all trades
• Strong technical and communication abilities are critical
• Working within a collaborative team environment
