We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our accounting team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of processing invoices by cross-referencing them with purchase orders, bills of lading, and supporting documents. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have strong attention to detail, and be able to collaborate effectively with our vendors, our purchasing and our warehouse departments to ensure seamless processing of payments.

Primary Responsibilities for Accounts Payable Clerk:
- Cross-reference invoices with purchase orders, bills of lading, and passing documents to ensure accuracy
- Enter data into the accounting software with zero errors.
- Maintain regular communication with the purchasing and warehouse departments to resolve discrepancies.
- Inform manager of changes to vendor contact information and review the data is up to date in the system.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors.
- Process and manage weekly trucking invoices.
- Oversee accounts payable aging reports and suspense reports to track outstanding balances.
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed.
- Must be proficient with Excel
- Prior experience with accounts payable or a related accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting software and data entry best practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify discrepancies.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with vendors and internal departments.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
